We found out only after booking that the room we’d reserved is at the back of the building, where renovations are expected to continue for the next two years. We cancelled because of that. Check which part of the building your apartment is in.
A disgusting, awful experience that spoiled our holiday. Altido offered no help. This company is a scam, stay away.
The biggest issue was how little hospitality we got. Reception staff were rude and unhelpful several times, and never apologized for their oversights, which I otherwise could have let go. I wouldn’t recommend staying here or come back myself. Also, the advertised two bedroom setup had its second bed on a loft above the kitchen, reached by ladder, with no AC or fan.
The gate on Via Capolungo stands out, with its Viennese Secession references. This hotel has been turned into apartments, as others have, but the architecture and landscape around it have mostly been left as they were.
The gourmet restaurant is in an excellent spot, and its staff were kind and knew their stuff.
