Britannia Hotel

The shared kitchen was a lovely extra, and we were surprised to find free pasta and vegetables provided by the hotel. The common areas were a highlight too, especially the terrace and its charming herb garden, where you can pick fresh herbs if you’re cooking. Britannia Hotel Genova gave us a fantastic stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It’s also perfectly located, just a two-minute walk from the train station and close to the main attractions. The warm, inviting atmosphere made the whole experience great. Highly recommended!

There’s room to improve the rooms: we could feel the mattress springs, and our hairdryer was broken. Still, we were satisfied overall. It’s a good social place for younger people traveling or backpacking with friends, with free water refills and tea or coffee available anytime. Toiletries are available if you ask at reception. Everyone was really friendly, and the location right next to the train station is handy for getting around. They also had entertainment during our stay, including Euros screenings and a bingo night.

I showed up completely unplanned, with a dead phone, and Anna and another very kind person at reception welcomed me and lent me a charging cable. While deciding whether to stay, I got food in the lobby/bar, including a nice burger and beer from the specials menu. I watched some Italian soccer and listened to amazing Latin music. Everyone there, from reception to the bartenders, was super nice. I’m sincerely grateful for their flexibility, patience, and care. It’s a hidden gem in Genova, offering a real Genova experience at a fair price, with flexible management and a place where you can have fun or find some quiet. The wifi was good and breakfast was nice, so I recommend it. Thank you!

It’s a friendly, casual place with spacious, basic rooms that have what you need. Good value for the price and an excellent location. I plan to come back next time I need to be in Genoa.
