Hotel Fiume

Getting around was easy from here: the hotel is close to bus, metro, and train stations, and the old port, aquarium, and old town are walkable too. We were advised to steer clear of the narrow side streets at night, since you may run into shady people and offers there. Our room exceeded expectations, especially the clean, roomy bathroom. The minibar was stocked at fair prices, and the hosts were kind and suggested places to visit as well as spots for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Nearby underground parking was also good value at 12 euro/24h compared with other places.

Everything felt freshly upgraded, and the modern rooms were spotless with really comfortable beds. Fabrizzio and Daniela were wonderful. The hotel is about 100 mts from the train station, with plenty of shops and lovely restaurants nearby. We loved it and will be back on our next trip to Genoa.

Fabrizzio made things easy, carrying bags upstairs since there’s no lift, and he gave me a map while explaining what to see and where to eat. The room was comfortable and clean, and the thick windows kept the street noise out. It’s a lovely base near the train station, where you can also catch the airport bus, in an amazing city.

The rooms and hallways are on the small side, but the place was clean and pleasant, with really friendly staff. Its location is handy, and parking on the street is available just 50 meters away for €6 per day, which was a nice extra.
