I waited over 15 minutes asking for coffee and couldn’t get the receptionist’s attention. She was rude, seemed unwilling to work, and kept switching between phone calls about weekend plans and YouTube news. The waiter was rude too. There’s no elevator at the back of the hotel, so in the morning you have to take your luggage down the stairs. The services and conditions were 0/10. Generally, there was a lack of professionalism.

We were very disappointed as MSC Cruise Line crew staying here. There was no checkout time notification from reception, but the cabin steward knocked and rudely told us to leave the room immediately because checkout had passed. We were due to be picked up for the airport at 16.00pm.

The room had a shower vent that didn’t work, and it took anywhere from 5-25 minutes for the water to get hot. The lift to the lobby is switched off from midnight until 6*, so keep snacks and water in your room. On the good side, the hotel is right by the water, close enough that I could almost reach out and touch the cruise ships.

After a long day of travel, I spent 30 minutes waiting in the lobby. They forgot about me and took people who arrived later to their rooms first. Eventually they sent me to a room in another building, watching me struggle through the streets of Genova with my big suitcase, only to realize they’d had the wrong keys all along. Really disorganized and unprofessional.
