Il Giardino di Albaro

We spent two nights here after staying at several hotels around Italy, and this was easily our favorite. The staff were funny, helpful, and wonderful, and both the room decor and cleanliness were great. Breakfast was good too. Parking was €10, right in front of the hotel, and a bus stop outside goes to the historic center. The ticket shop is just down the street, and the shore and Boccadasse are a short walk away. Highly recommend it.

There’s a small amount of parking right at the front of the hotel, which is handy compared with many places nearby. The seafront promenade is only a short walk away too. The staff make you feel welcome and are happy to share local information to help you get the most out of your visit.

The spacious rooms and the staff’s attention to guest needs made this a very pleasant stay. Breakfast was excellent as well. It’s much better value than a big chain hotel, and we’ll be back.

Boccadasse is just down the road, so you can go for a swim and be back in no time. The location isn’t right in the center, and the main bus stop is just outside the door. Service was kind, professional, and attentive. Breakfast had lots of options, and having coffee and a croissant on the patio in the morning was a lovely way to feel the city around us. The rooms were good too. When I return to Genova, I won’t look for anywhere else.
