This really happened, even though it sounds hard to believe. We booked for the weekend, checked in, unpacked, and went out. When we came back, a strange man was showering in our room. He had neatly put our clothes, including our underwear, in the closet, eaten our food, and used a huge knife to cut his weed or whatever it was. He'd also used my sunscreen to shower. He seemed clearly to be on drugs. The toilet was full of a huge dump, and the room smelled terrible. The man was polite and left right away, moving into the room next door, which apparently was the one he'd been assigned. We couldn't stay in ours because of the smell. We reported it to reception, but they blamed us and said we hadn't locked the door properly. They moved us into the other room and acted as though the whole thing was normal. We suspect their key cards weren't working properly, something they knew about. The man may have entered our room by mistake and thought it was his because his card worked. He probably didn't care about our belongings because he was on drugs. Afterward, we contacted the hotel several times to ask for a refund and never got a reply.

The rooms were clean and well arranged, with comfortable beds and pillows. The people were nice, and the location is great, at most a 3-minute walk from both the train station and the port. The aquarium and city shopping center are about a 10-minute walk away.

The room and toilet had a strange smell. Public transport is easy to reach from this location, but everything else felt average. I wouldn't recommend it to women traveling alone, as the area had an odd vibe from the “locals”.

The room was nicer than any other place I've stayed in around here, and the bathrooms were great. Each floor has Wi-Fi, and it worked really well. The staff were very kind and the customer service was amazing. Definitely worth it, and one of my best hotel experiences. I'd highly recommend it.

Elena at the front desk made a real difference during my visit. She helped me store my luggage and kindly gave me hot water when I needed it. She was incredibly helpful and accommodating, with a warm, professional manner. I really appreciate her hospitality and excellent service. I highly recommend the hotel, especially for welcoming, helpful staff like Elena.
