Olympia Hotel

The owner and his daughters were friendly, and the service was very good. With its big rooms, good showers, and great AC, the hotel is worth the price. It’s right in the heart of Via XX Septiembre near Piazza de Ferrari, and I’d stay again. A couple of things to know: the elevator in this older building is tiny, and you have to manage the doors yourself. The stairs are quite a workout. When you leave, you put your key on a rack. Two-star hotels can be hit or miss, but this one was absolutely worth it for the location, price, and experience.

The people at this hotel are fun, joking, and kind. They made my time in Genoa, by far my best experience in Italy, even better, and I’m grateful to them. The room was comfortable and very clean. It’s hard to find a better spot for reaching Genoa’s landmarks and getting out to see the nightlife.

The hotel’s location really hits you once you arrive, it’s perfectly placed. It’s a charming budget stay with lovely, attentive staff. Their English isn’t very good, but that was fine, and they were happy to keep our luggage while we explored Genoa on our last day. I’d recommend it to other budget travelers.

My mom just got back from staying at Olympia and asked me to write this for her. She was so impressed by how kind the owner was and how clean the hotel felt. The location is excellent, and for the price, everything was just right.
