The apartment looked great and the location was handy, but after four nights the little problems added up. The Wi-Fi kept dropping out, so we gave up on it, and for the last two and a half days we couldn’t connect at all. I messaged the team after the first day and never heard back. The bathroom plug got stuck shut for the final two days, which made brushing my teeth and shaving awkward. They acknowledged my message, but nobody fixed it or explained what happened. Our superior studio was modern, roomy, clean, and felt very secure, with a private entrance and heavily locked doors. There was a washing machine, and the humidifier helped the air feel a bit fresher, though the room was somewhat dark. It was an easy walk to restaurants, shops, and historic sights. A few other details were frustrating: the shower was cramped, daily service didn’t replace the coffee sachets, and I wasn’t sure whether water was meant to be one bottle per guest for the whole stay. There was no kitchen sink plug or salad bowl, so we used a cooking pot for both washing dishes and mixing salad. The iron leaked as soon as I tried to fill it. Palazzina B could be fantastic with more care for these practical details. For a night or two they might not matter, but over four nights we felt the difference beyond the attractive look and good location. We didn’t really look forward to returning at the end of the day, and the stay didn’t feel worth what we paid. Sort out the small things and I’d happily give it five stars.
We found this lovely, clean, well-kept apartment in Genoa’s historic district. The main sights are mostly around a 15-minute walk away. It sits in the pedestrian area, so you can’t reach it by car, but covered parking at Porto Antico is about ten minutes on foot. Our hostess gave us a discounted garage pass, which helped with the parking cost.
The only thing I wished the apartment had was a toaster. Otherwise, it was comfortable and well equipped, with daily maid service. It’s spacious, modern, and clean, right in the historic centre but quiet thanks to the shutters and double glazing. The metro is just a two-minute walk away.
I can’t comment on the accommodation itself because I became ill and cancelled the day before arrival. The property charged me the full amount for the travel period, despite its rules, and I still haven’t received a receipt for the money withheld, even after asking several times.
I’m so disappointed with Palazzina B. We’d booked a holiday, but afterward were told that as the numbers rise, we wouldn’t be compensated for time away if we got caught outside our home country. I couldn’t risk travelling, and Palazzina B showed no kindness or understanding. We ended up paying full price for a room we never used. I have no issue with rules or policies. It was the rude treatment and lack of compassion that upset me. The place looks cute, but when I’m able to visit Genoa I’ll find somewhere cuter and more accommodating. The customer service was the worst.
