SanCosmoSuite

The room is cozy and perfectly placed, right in the center with everything nearby and the old port just a two-minute walk away. Still, a few things caught us off guard. The bathroom is up on a mezzanine, which the website doesn’t mention, and the stove is only available if you rent the whole apartment. Booking was a bit of a hassle because the site wasn’t working, even though the owner was very kind. We had to call at check-in to remind them, since the access instructions hadn’t come through. The drawers were extremely dusty when we put our clothes away, so they could use a better clean.

Sancosmosuite is very clean, with roomy bedrooms and comfortable bathrooms that have everything you need. There’s air conditioning, a hairdryer, a TV in the room, and a safe. We had a wonderful stay, and the location is great for exploring the city center and places like the aquarium.

The room itself was great and clean, though the outside of the building looked rather neglected. Our host welcomed us warmly and was very friendly and available. We stayed two nights and slept well the first one. The second was the night before a local holiday, and there was a lot of street noise until 1:00, which was unpleasant.

These lovely rooms are set in a charming little square in Genoa’s historic center. Getting around on foot is easy, and public transport connections are good too.
