U Genova

A quiet, clean and tidy place, though there aren't any views. The one-bedroom apartment is spacious, with its own kitchen, bathroom, and living room.

The rooms were all right, and the staff were friendly. They brought us fresh linens and air freshener when we mentioned the damp smell. There was no sunlight or daylight because the buildings are so close together, and the rooms were hot and humid, with a bit of a moldy smell. Our bed linens and clothes got wet during the stay. The location is right in the heart of old town Genova, within easy walking distance of most historic sights, and the price is fair. There's no reception, as advertised, and parking is 5-7 minutes away, which is awkward with lots of luggage. All in all, okay if you want an affordable downtown stay.

The bed was comfortable, the place was spotless, and the hosts were helpful. A reasonable price and a great base for exploring Genova.

The rooms were clean, but the elevator was painfully slow, there was no water heater, and the AC was bad. I felt the area was dangerous. Three guys tried to mug me in the street, and I nearly got robbed. Don't go out alone in the valleys at night.
