Hotel Porto Azzurro

I went to try the restaurant and wasn't disappointed. The food was very nice, though the prices were high, as expected. The views are beautiful and the service was exemplary. Parking can be tricky, but the hotel has a few spaces off the main road.

I got out of there first thing in the morning. This was the first time I've actually had to run away from a hotel. The owner yelled at me for half an hour before I finally managed to leave. There was a hole in the ceiling where a light bulb should have been, and the wardrobe was ancient and broken, with space to hang only four T-shirts. The fridge was inside the wardrobe and so noisy that I had to turn it off overnight. The balcony light stayed on until 11:30 pm and couldn't be switched off, so the room never got dark. The road was right below the balcony, with loud music until 1 am. We had to keep the balcony door shut to sleep, but the room was tiny and had no air. By 6 am the road was noisy again, then the cleaners started yelling and slamming doors. Breakfast was awful too: stale bread, limp cheese, and slimy ham. Don't go!

The worst experience ever. Our attempt to visit ended with a call to the police. They didn't understand that we wanted to visit, and when the owners saw the UA plates on our car, they started shouting, “Go away to your country.” Once the police arrived, the owners completely changed their tone and acted sweet, trying to make it look like a misunderstanding. Pure racism, awful people, liars. Shame on you.

A wonderful dining experience, with lovely service. It's one of the best gourmet places I've visited. I'd recommend trying the seafood with wine.
