Ginosa itself is a lively, welcoming town, with a ravine full of history and striking nature, plus plenty of restaurants and butchers for a great meal. This charming property has been tastefully renovated and is spotless. Massimo and his father Mario are always on hand, and they spoil you each morning with a generous breakfast made up of local products. If we come back to see Matera and the surrounding area, this will be our first choice for a taste of authentic Italy.

After our visit to Matera, we came back to find fresh strawberries and two delicious pieces of cake waiting in the room. We spent two nights at this wonderful B&B, where the room was super clean and the service was hard to beat. Breakfast was well beyond what we expected, and the father, mother, and son all do their best to make you feel at home. The son speaks good English. Highly recommended!

We came for a wedding on August 26th, and the staff were so kind and available throughout our stay. The rooms are huge, with high, atmospheric domed ceilings, and even in the summer heat they stayed comfortably cool enough for a great night's sleep. The bathrooms are spacious and, like the rest of the place, spotless. Ginosa is well placed, about 20 minutes from the sea at Ginosa Marina and a little over 20 minutes from beautiful Matera. A lovely place, with a little town full of stories to tell.

Massimo and Mario made us feel very welcome, with genuinely kind service and generous breakfasts full of local flavors. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, and the property has been restored with real care, right down to the enchanting ceilings and old-world touches. Highly recommended.
