I felt at home at Masseria Santissimo. Set among the Murgia hills, this historic farmhouse has been tastefully renovated by its designer owner, with generous spaces, original materials, and a lovely park around it. It’s a great place to unwind or take a digital detox, and a strong base for exploring the Murgia, the ravines, and both the Adriatic and Ionian coasts. We didn’t explore by bike, but it would be an ideal place to do that. Claudio knows the area well and loves good local, artisanal food. Ask him for tips and you’re in for an unforgettable experience. I’d recommend a stay here, and several days are best. A week is just right.

The countryside around this wonderful farmhouse is stunning, and its position just outside Gioia is a great base. We spent a week here, and the owners, their son Claudio, and his family were kind, hospitable, and incredibly helpful. See you again soon, and thank you!
