The food was pretty good, and there was decent entertainment for children. Kids have several places to play, including indoors. Still, this doesn't merit a 5/5 rating. The rooms and building feel old. The WiFi was intermittent and slow, so I had to turn it off while trying to write this from my second-floor room. The shower pressure was low, and the temperature kept swinging from hot to cold. The safe was too small for even a tablet, and the TV was tiny, around 19 inches. There was just one power socket, so bring a splitter if you need to charge several phones. The minibar was empty, with only water available downstairs. You have to lock the door manually when you enter, or someone could walk in while you're showering. On the beach, showers cost extra. Our package was meant to include an umbrella in rows 3 to 5, but we were placed in row 7. The beach loungers hadn't been cleaned or sanitized before we arrived, and we found things left by previous guests, including cigarettes. At the restaurant, about half the waiters wore their masks incorrectly. High chairs, children's coloring items, and the breakfast chairs, where anyone could sit anywhere, had not been disinfected. Compared with San Benedetto del Tronto, Alba Adriatica, and Tortoreto, Giulianova is far less appealing.
