La Cascata Chambres d'hotes

We came across this place unexpectedly and decided to stop. The waterfalls were amazing and still full of water even at the end of summer. You could really feel their force. The bar was lovely, the Apéro was great, and they brought us snacks for free. Highly recommend!

We just sat for a while and let the waterfall drown out everything else. The kids climbed and balanced on the rocks. It's the sort of place to linger and take a deeper breath, not just hop out and leave. Bring a sandwich and forget the schedule for a bit. Getting there is a short, quiet walk, with mossy stones and twisted roots along the way. Then the trees open up onto Cascata del Lenteney, white water crashing over dark rock into a turquoise pool. It's not huge like Niagara, and there's no polished tourist setup like at some places in Iceland. It feels raw and real. There are no gates, ticket booth or gift shops announcing the falls. Just wind in the pines, then the unmistakable roar of water plunging as it has for a very long time. Let the sound and spray take your mind off the modern world.

The rooms are nicely fitted out and look over the amazing waterfalls right below. Guests can request the sauna, and the owner can help arrange a nearby restaurant or a discounted Skyview experience. Such a fantastic spot.

The terrace overlooking the waterfall took my breath away. The B&B was wonderful, with spotless, well-furnished rooms, great hosts and service, and a sauna as an added bonus.
