B&B Giardino Dionysos

The location makes a great base for exploring Cilento and visiting Paestum, and in summer it’s much better value than staying on the coast. Giungano is nearby and worth a stop, even if you arrive after the three-day pizza festival. There are places to eat in the village in the evening. One thing to watch for is the entrance. Even with GPS, the steep turn on the left as you head towards Giungano is easy to miss because the sign is so small. It’s a few hundred meters before the left turn for Ristorante Panoramica and the bridge on the right that continues towards the village. The B&B itself is lovely and lives up to its name. The rooms are simple, roomy, practical, and air-conditioned. They sit a little apart from the host’s home, under the imposing cliffs and surrounded by the "Tre Monti" mountains. The welcome was in French in our case, warm but unobtrusive, with help there when needed. Breakfast is generous. The coffee was excellent, as you often find in Campania, and there was a plate of fruit, including a basket of delicious white figs. In summer you can have "prima colazione" by the beautiful pool and enjoy it at your own pace.

We finally got to relax here. The hosts were incredibly kind, and we felt at ease right away. The rooms are lovely, with a big bathroom. The property is breathtaking and carefully maintained, a peaceful place to unwind with the relaxing mountain scenery around Giungano.
