The view from both the bedroom and living room is beautiful, and the little balcony’s view was so stunning it made the other drawbacks feel minor. We had a lovely stay overall. The apartment was clean and spacious, with an older but charming feel. We were two adults and two children for two nights. The beds aren’t great for anyone with back pain. We had three people sharing the “large bed” because the only other option was a single bed. Saturday night was a bit noisy from the bars downstairs. In the morning there was garbage collection, and on Sunday the market was being set up. There’s no air conditioning, but two fans are provided. You’re only steps from the center and promenade, and Lake Maggiore is also close, around a 5-10 minute walk depending on pace, by my estimate. Parking is in a paid public lot, and you can’t drive right to the door, so plan for that when packing.

We had a nice long weekend here in April, and it suited two or three people perfectly. There are good bars and restaurants close by, so it can be a little noisy, but we were on holiday, so it didn’t bother us much.

Music goes on late here, right by the promenade, and on Sunday morning the market starts setting up at dawn. If you’re after a quiet stay, this isn’t the place. The beds are unacceptable.
