The price felt fair enough. It’s well located for a night’s sleep after a flight, and the workers were very kind. The airport to hotel and hotel to airport transfer was cheap.

The homemade pizza came fresh from the oven, and there are seafood options too. They have gluten-free choices and more besides. I had a one-pound steak for 16 euros, so the prices are good. The people were very friendly and made me feel at home. I loved the Limoncelo and had a great time with the locals. If you’re in the area, this is a good place to stop for dinner.

This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. On October 30, 2021, I booked through Booking at 21:54 and got a confirmation showing check-in until midnight. I reached the hotel at 23:15, but nobody was there. I called and messaged the hotel without getting an answer, and Booking couldn’t reach them either. After a long time and many calls, Booking found me another hotel. With all the waiting and arrangements, I didn’t get to bed there until 2 a.m. I’d driven 300 km that day and was meant to drive another 500 km the next day. The replacement hotel was 20 km away. Two days later, I contacted Booking to complain. They said their system showed check-in ending at 23:00. I checked my confirmation email again, and it said midnight, not 23:00. I asked Booking to review when the new check-in time had been added or changed, and found it had been changed one day after my reservation. I felt that was done to avoid my complaint. The hotel never answered my calls or messages, and offered no apology or explanation. I can prove everything I’ve described. When I tried to leave a bad rating, Booking said I couldn’t because I hadn’t slept there. I couldn’t sleep there because nobody was waiting for me, even though I arrived 45 minutes before the stated check-in deadline. The whole thing was extremely annoying and unfair. The hotel tried to hide what happened instead of just saying they were sorry, and got away with it for free.

A lovely little village restaurant and hotel near Lamezia, owned and run by a real gentleman. They speak French too. Just keep in mind this is a small village, not London, so things move at their own pace. You’re here to enjoy the Italian countryside and its people.
