The main reason we booked was how close it was to Ceresara township, where my father-in-law was buried. The host was pleasant, though we could have used more help. There was no guide explaining how things worked or where to go, which mattered since we don't speak Italian and the host doesn't speak English. We had to get in touch about the heating, the toaster not plugging in, and the induction cooktop. Tips for places to eat and a supermarket would also have helped us keep to a budget. My wife had to clean the inside of the fridge, which seemed to have been left for a while between guests. This was also the most expensive AirBnB we stayed in throughout Italy. Parking is out front on a bend, so I hope nobody cuts the corner. Take care with a U-turn too, I nearly sent our hire car into a ditch.

Getting in was easy, and the room was quiet and clean with everything we needed. It's quite out of the way, though. That could work well as a base or if you want a peaceful spot.

We came across this place by chance while travelling for my son's swimming competitions, and it turned out to be a lovely find. The apartment was spotless and clearly very well cared for, in a quiet setting. The owners were so kind and completely available to help, which made the stay especially nice. Thank you, you're wonderful.

We felt at home straight away thanks to the lovely owner. The B&B sits among the green Mantuan countryside, and the room was large, comfortable, with a little kitchenette. It has all been recently renovated and kept with care and taste, and the room was tidy and very clean. Being able to use the washing machine was a nice extra. Breakfast came on a tray outside the room, so we could eat at our own pace in the room. It was satisfying, with a mix of homemade and packaged items. The only thing to bear in mind is getting there: it's a little remote, especially if you don't know the area, and the narrow country lanes can be tricky at night because they have no lighting or guard rails. Still, I'd recommend it.
