Hotel Villa Margherita

We went in late April and early May, and it was peaceful and relaxing, with plenty of parking. You can hike up the nearby hill for a beautiful view. Our room was excellent and had a lovely sea view. Hotel Villa Margherita is in a quiet little former fishing village with lots of places to eat, especially for seafood and fish lovers, though there’s plenty of good pizza too. The hotel has only a limited number of rooms, so it feels quiet and personal. The garden access and pool give it a relaxing, exclusive feel. Breakfast was delicious and the staff incredibly kind and welcoming. The location is excellent, though you’ll definitely need a car. Highly recommended!

We had bad weather during our stay and found the area a bit limited, but that’s no reflection on the hotel. The location is great, though you’ll need a car or have to figure out the public transport system, which seems a bit hit or miss, if you want to go beyond Golfo. The receptionists were super friendly, and all the reception staff were amazing, helpful, and welcoming. Breakfast had plenty of variety, with prompt and friendly serving staff. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean, and housekeeping kept them to a high standard each day. The room did feel a little bare, and the bed wasn’t very comfortable, but the hotel itself was high standard and the staff made the stay more enjoyable.

I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels, some cheaper and some much more expensive, and this is probably my favorite. The rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable, the views were amazing, and I loved the quiet little town and lush gardens. Breakfast was perfect, and the management and staff were excellent. I don’t usually go back to hotels, but I just might return to this one.

The food options around town are okay, but you’d be a fool to skip the hotel restaurant. It’s fine dining done with style. The entire experience here was so good I can hardly describe it, and I can’t see why it’s rated four stars rather than five. The rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean, and both the gardens and pool area are stunning. Every member of staff was amazing, with exceptional customer service. The hotel is less than a minute from one beach and a five-minute walk from a gorgeous one. Best hotel experience we’ve EVER had.
