CPH - Pevero Hotel

The area is beautiful, with an upscale feel and wealthy clientele. A marina and luxury district with high-end shops and restaurants are just 10 minutes away, and the roads leading to the hotel are smooth and well maintained. The hotel has a spacious, open feel that works well for families, and the nearby beach has crystal-clear water and a clean shore. A buggy service gets you there, though two sunbeds and an umbrella cost €120. The pool water was a little cold. Rooms were spacious and spotless, and housekeeping was fantastic. Breakfast was outstanding, with delicious food throughout, and service was impeccable. Special thanks to Stefano, our wonderful waiter.

Everyone working here was accommodating and kind, and the room upgrade was free. The beds, though, were not soft at all, and management refused to refund a $100 charge at checkout. No one had told us about a fee for using the public beach, we hadn’t signed anything, and we didn’t know they’d charge $100 for a chair and towel. I wouldn’t use that beach. There was also some random guy trying to sell fake jewelry. For a hotel of this standard, that beach is a big zero. The food is a six at most. We ate at the Grand Furore in Amalfi, and it was outstanding. Management said they wouldn’t credit the beach charge because we’d received a free room upgrade, which seemed ridiculous. What does that have to do with charging people to use a public beach? I also had a massage that was a five out of ten. The therapist didn’t speak English, and there was nothing to put under my legs for comfort. Sardinia was beautiful!

Room upkeep could use some attention, as things are starting to look worn. Still, the pool and restaurant staff were amazing, and the hotel is a good option at a moderate price, close to the beach with only a short two-minute golf cart ride. The pools, service, and food were great.

The pools were lovely and extremely well cared for, but there’s no Mediterranean view from the main hotel grounds. Service at check-in, by the pool, and at breakfast was excellent. Breakfast was included and had plenty to choose from: breads, pastries, meat and cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt, juices, and some cooked options. The property itself is older, and while the views are decent, most of the grounds don’t look out over the water. Even our ocean-view room didn’t, in practice. It was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the room felt dated and tired. The bathroom was old too, and the tub/shower leaked. For a couples trip, it wasn’t as romantic as I’d hoped. With the rates they’re charging now, I’d stay somewhere more modern next time.
