I had to leave early because of a family emergency, and the owner offered me a partial refund. It’s good value, and I’d consider coming back. The continental breakfast had plenty of choices, and the front desk staff were cheerful, pleasant, and seemed genuine. The bed squeaked, though, and when I mentioned it, nobody followed up to fix it. The place is a comfortable, modern bed and breakfast near downtown Gorizia, in a very quiet neighborhood with ample street parking.

The rooms are clean and spacious. But if you’re in the apartment and end up sleeping on one of the pull-out options, you’ll probably sleep badly. The sofa bed is really uncomfortable, and the armchair has a fault: its mattress slides under the frame, leaving your legs down at floor level. They really need to fix it.

The room was reasonably okay for the price, but I wouldn’t go back even if I had to sleep outside. The people working there were highly unpleasant. They confirmed my reservation and the arrangement that I’d pay in cash in advance, then asked for my credit card details, which I didn’t want to give. After that they went offline, leaving me to believe the booking was settled. Before arriving, I messaged with my arrival time so I wouldn’t be left waiting at the gate like last time, but got no reply. I’d recommend avoiding this hotel from a safe distance.

It was 34 degrees outside and we were on the top floor, so the broken AC made the stay really unpleasant. The representative we spoke with said it had been out of order for quite a while. Also, Booking.com should make it clear that guests may have to share living space, since some rooms are apartments with two bedrooms.
