My father is 70 and thought he had booked a hotel room through Booking.com. It turned out to be a self-catering apartment, and the listing seemed unclear and possibly misleading, especially for older guests who may not know the difference. I contacted the hotel hoping they’d understand the circumstances and be flexible, but they wouldn’t refund him or suggest a fairer option. They offered only 20% off a future booking, which didn’t resolve this for us. A full refund or a credit voucher with a little extra would have felt reasonable. It was also hard to reach customer service by phone, which made sorting things out more difficult. The property may have good points, but the reservation experience and management’s lack of goodwill left me disappointed. I’d tell future guests to check the booking details carefully, since flexibility and understanding may not be there.

The free bikes were a nice touch, but the hotel looked much better in the pictures. Our room was tiny, with dark old wooden furniture like something from your great-grandmother’s house. There were no window screens, and the TV didn’t work. Breakfast was terrible: they served a plate of mixed whole fruit, uncut, ice cold and underripe. The juice wasn’t freshly squeezed either. I’m really surprised this place is so highly rated.

It’s on a quiet street, an easy walk from the town center, old town and beach. The rooms are a good size and clean, and some have balconies. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean. We could borrow bikes too. It’s in a great spot near the old town and beach, and breakfast was superb.
