One room was really warm and the other was really cold, but it was okay. The staff were very good and friendly, and helped us a lot when we couldn’t find parking. I recommend it.

We went twice and ordered the fresh fish both times. They showed it to us before cooking and afterward, which we really liked, and it tasted great. The wine was tasty too and went well with the dish. I only wish I’d had the cheek as well, since it’s the nicest part ;). We’ll definitely be back.

The balcony view is stunning, and the hotel has a superb location. The staff are very, very friendly. This was our third visit, and it feels like coming home. Kati and Peter from Budapest

Dinner on the beautiful terrace right by the promenade was one of the lovely parts of our stay, and the half board food options were marvellous. Still, if you book half board, dinner has to be indoors because all terrace tables are held for walk-in customers. At breakfast you can choose any seat, inside or outside. The rooms are comfortable, there’s air conditioning, and the breakfast is great. The location is right in the center, one minute from the pedestrian area, supermarket, and city center, five minutes from Grado port, and two minutes from the beach, all on foot. It’s quite expensive, but the location makes it worthwhile. I recommend Hotel Marea *** if you want to treat yourself to an exceptional holiday in Grado once a year. xxx
