The balcony views are amazing, and they had gluten-free options, which is why I'm giving two stars instead of zero. But the beds are HORRENDOUS. I almost never leave reviews, so this is a big deal for me. None of us could sleep, whether because of the dust, how itchy the beds were, or mattresses that should've been replaced 23 years ago. If you have to stay here, bring a blanket.

The rooms and hotel were very clean, and the view from the fourth floor was amazing, with a beautiful look at Vesuvio. The staff were friendly, the hotel has a lovely park and a large parking area, and breakfast was good if you like mostly sweet things. There was no fresh fruit or vegetables, which was a letdown for us since we like to eat healthily. We had a serious payment mix-up. We'd paid a month before our stay, but the owner couldn't find it and didn't believe us until we contacted our bank for proof. They found the payment after we got home and returned the duplicate payment. I found the whole thing very unprofessional. Our room was noisy. Traffic made it impossible to open the windows, the air conditioning made noises at night, and the thin walls let us hear a neighbor's loud TV and plenty of hallway noise from people coming and going. It was a nice stay aside from that, though it might be different outside peak season or on quieter days.

The student group was exhausted and couldn't sleep because a party in the hotel kept loud music going until midnight on Wednesday. Management didn't care at all. Three rooms weren't ready, so we waited two hours, some rooms had no electricity, and some Wi-Fi codes didn't work. Check-in took over 35 minutes for 15 rooms. The staff were ignorant and incompetent. This was the worst hotel I've stayed at in Italy. One star only because I can't give zero.

The food was decent, the outside patio is nice, and having three elevators helped keep waits down. The room was modest but clean and tidy, though the shower was a bit wonky. My main issue was the AC shutting off in the middle of the night. I'd wake up sweating and have to get up to turn it back on. Otherwise, no complaints.

It was loud all night, and the location felt very sketchy. There was mold on the wall, and the beds and desk looked like antiques.
