We’d stayed at the hotel three years ago, but this time we were given a room in the crotto, and I actually preferred it. The renovated rooms are gorgeous, and the kitchenette has an oven and induction hob, plus all the plates, glasses, cutlery, pots, and pans you need to cook for yourself. The only possible downside is having to cross the road to get to the pool, beach, and breakfast room. It’s only about 50 meters, though there’s a bit of a climb, and I think it’s worth it. A wonderful experience, highly recommended!

The crotto is just a couple of steps from the lake, and you can use the loungers by the water or in the spacious garden in front, with its olive trees and medicinal herbs. The owners were genuinely welcoming and kind. Everything was clean and tidy, and the renovation has carefully preserved the old building’s details. The antique furniture makes the place feel especially cozy. A really beautiful spot.
