Gravedona Orange (Apt. 4)

After the lost days, I had to find a more expensive apartment in Como for my birthday, and its location wasn’t convenient. The money for the booking came back to my card after 7 days, but the whole thing was extremely unpleasant and still unclear. I had booked this apartment for one night. A few days later, Booking.com messaged that I could change to two nights at a different price or the reservation would be cancelled. The owner simply told me, "Cancel the reservation." The messages on each side didn’t match. Eventually, the owner said the apartment was already booked for two nights and that they didn’t take one-night reservations, blaming a Booking.com error. I checked, and the listing still showed a one-night reservation. They insisted I cancel, but doing so would have cost me a fee. The owner also said she hadn’t received my payment, even though the charge had already come off my card. In the end, I contacted customer support myself and got the cancellation for free.

We had the larger apartment on the first floor, and it was beautiful. The amenities were better than we expected, and there’s a great terrace facing the mountains. The street is very busy, so keep that in mind, though we still really enjoyed our stay.
