Hotel Lauro

The people were really helpful, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was TOP, absolutely delicious. For me, five stars 😁

I’d choose Hotel Lauro again for the Easter holidays. Mrs. Sara, the owner, and the staff were always kind and friendly, and the place feels extremely welcoming. It’s in a quiet spot, only a five-minute walk from the lakefront, and has a lot of useful facilities: rooms, a breakfast room, a lift to every floor, a pool, a sun deck with loungers, and car parking. I’d love to come back, I promise!

My girlfriend and I booked one night at Hotel Lauro, but the stay didn’t match the reviews I’d read or the service I expected from the owner. She was rude several times when giving us information. We’d booked a double bed, but the two single mattresses kept coming apart, and I had to get up repeatedly through the night to push them back together. The room minibar had snacks and drinks, which were charged separately. At breakfast, while our luggage was still in the room, the owner went in without telling us and left us a pre-bill for everything we’d ordered. I didn’t find that pleasant, and it wasn’t the kind of treatment we should have received. I’d suggest a different way of keeping track of guests’ drinks and snacks. We also used the pool, where I thought it was unprofessional that the owner was swimming too while having a spritz.

We were welcomed by Carol, who was so warm and took the time to show us everything. The family-run hotel sits in Gravedona’s lovely old town, and we can recommend it wholeheartedly. Breakfast was lovingly prepared, plentiful, and varied. Our room was quiet and had air conditioning, and the lift was helpful. There’s covered bike storage, a swimming pool, and a well-kept area all around. We’d be happy to come back. Thank you for a lovely stay.
