Hotel Regina

We had a really nice stay and have already recommended the hotel to friends. The facilities and atmosphere were lovely, and the price seemed very good for what you get compared with other places around Lake Como. Our Superior Double Room with Lake View was spacious, had a balcony and a lovely lake view. We were lucky to have air conditioning during the very hot weather on August 11-12, 2025, since we hadn’t checked when booking whether every room had it. The room was even better than we expected. Some rooms seem to have been upgraded and look nicer than the Booking photos. The staff were kind and helpful, and we had a parking space. Breakfast was fine, the pool was nice, and we enjoyed spending time on the beach and swimming in the lake.

The breakfast buffet was included and had lots of fresh choices each day. We also loved our renovated room. I’d wondered if the price might be too good to be true, but the stay turned out to be amazing. Hotel Regina sits right beside the water with the mountains behind it, and the location is terrific. There are several places to see within walking distance or a short drive. The pool was fantastic, and the service from everyone at the hotel was even better. It’s hard to find enough words for what a wonderful place this is.

The team were lovely throughout, from reception and the bar to housekeeping and the restaurant. Any little situation was sorted out quickly, though we didn’t run into a real problem. We loved the easy beach access and the deck with the pool. Breakfast was tasty and had a nice range, even if it wasn’t a huge spread. The renovation is fantastic, so the older photos may not reflect what guests will find now. Our room was cosy and very comfortable, with a warm shower and well thought out lighting. It did get really hot without air conditioning, which was the one thing I’d change. The lake view is one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen. We had two foggy days, but the view and the region still left us with a forever memory. Gravedona centre is about a seven minute walk away, and the bus stops right in front of the hotel, so the location is perfect. I fell in love with the area. Definitely a must stay!

The proprietor was very patient with our limited Italian, and the room was lovely with an outstanding view. Breakfast was nice too. They pointed us toward the ferry and taxis, and most helpfully referred us to a dentist who quickly reinstalled a crown during our holiday. GRAZIE MILLE!! Hotel Regina is such a charming little place.
