Casa Chamonin

The view was wonderful, and parking was easy to access. The lady Speranza was very kind. It’s a group of classic, slightly retro chalets, about 10 minutes from Pila.

We’ve stayed here twice as a group, and both visits were great. Our six-person apartment had two bathrooms and a kitchen-dining room. The place is just steps from Pila, with an outdoor barbecue area, and the owner is always on hand and helpful with requests.

Casa Chamonin is a peaceful place to unwind, with a quiet setting and wide views from the Ruitor glacier to the Monte Rosa glacier. For trips and walks, it also makes a good base. Petite Cerise sits at 1,500 meters, 5 km from Pila and 200 meters from the middle station of the new Aosta-Pila cable car. A four-minute ride gets you to the ski lifts in winter or summer, and the free shuttle stop about 300 meters away reaches the town center in 10 minutes. The property has several apartments with simple, basic furnishings that are still comfortable. The owner is attentive and helpful, though the room cleanliness was not quite adequate. I’d recommend staying here for a few days of real quiet. €-€€

The owner was kind and available at any hour, always ready to help make the stay special. There’s a refreshing water fountain, plus an outdoor park with lawn, loungers, umbrellas, and a play area for children and adults. The fully equipped BBQ lets you eat outside under the moon, looking over the Aosta Valley at night. The accommodation suits everyone, from older guests to children, and the views of the Alps, from Mont Blanc to the Matterhorn, are breathtaking.
