Residence Apfel

Emma made our stay easy, always ready to help with any request. The location is handy for getting around, and the small apartments have what you need for a home base, especially with kids. This was our second year at APFEL and we had a great experience both times. We'll be back!

We found the location really convenient for exploring town, with private parking and another public lot just a minute away. The apartment had three balconies, though the views weren't great and it felt a bit dark. Inside, there was plenty of storage and hangers, which I always notice, plus all the basics from linens and dishes to a microwave and dishwasher. It was spacious, with custom furniture that's a little dated but works fine. We stayed a week in the building opposite the "main" Apfel, on the second floor above the bar. The bunk mattresses were comfortable, but the double bed and sofa bed weren't.

The open-view balcony and parking just outside were lovely extras. Our two-person studio was clean and had everything, including a full kitchen, dishwasher, and coffee machine. It's also well placed, close to the town center and a charming lake. We had a great stay, everything was perfect.

For families, Gressoney is easy to get around, peaceful, and has several playgrounds. The residence is well situated, and the apartments are cozy. We always stayed in the building next door, with a lovely view over the park and Monte Rosa. We first found the place 20 years ago and came almost every year for a decade, most recently in 2020. It's always been a joy and remains our favorite. Mrs. Sonia is wonderful, kind, and helpful, and the management is excellent. Highly recommended.
