A local pointed us toward this restaurant, and we're glad they did. The food was really good: we had carbonara pasta to start, then fish and beef for the main courses, and could recommend all of it. The atmosphere and view were lovely, and the prices seemed fair in comparison. Getting there was easy, too. The road was accessible, even in a lower car.

This was our best meal in Italy. We dropped in for lunch and had a great time, with lovely surroundings, wonderful food, and fantastic service. There were plenty of vegetarian choices as well.

I’ve lived in Florence for years and wanted to take my Dutch family somewhere in the countryside that didn’t feel touristy. Ristorante Dondoli was just right for a long, relaxed lunch south of Greve, surrounded by nature. The antipasti platter was generous, the main dishes were cooked just right and tasted great, and the homemade dolci were delicious. Everyone was super friendly, too.

After all the touristy, commercial places we’d come across around chianti, dinner here was a real pleasure. Great menu, a nice wine selection, genuine products, and service that showed both professionalism and passion. Finally!

Francesca is a wonderful host, with thoughtful little touches that made our stay unforgettable. Dondoli is a great place to relax and enjoy la vita bella in the middle of Chianti. Six days wasn’t enough, so we’ll stay longer next time. Bravicimo!
