Locanda Il Gallo

We came just for the restaurant. For antipasti, we ordered breasola and burrata, then gnocchi tartuffo for secondi and prima tranche steak. The antipasti were amazing: creamy burrata with salty breasola and slices of cured egg yolk, a great touch. The gnocchi with truffle slices was amazing too. The meat was delicious, juicy, and full of really good aromas. Everything was amazing, including the wine the owner suggested, which was so good. Francesco was very nice and informative. Definitely give it a try if you're in Tuscany!

The prices were really good, and both the food and service were superb. A terrific local spot. I'd recommend it without hesitation.

We booked easily through the restaurant website, and parking was no trouble. Inside, it has that small restaurant feel, with an owner who somehow kept all the tables running smoothly. He was a wizard. The kitchen was quick, the service excellent, and our meals were outstanding. The pasta was the best we've had since arriving in Italy. Prices are cheap by American standards and toward the low end of what we've seen elsewhere in Italy. One of our best meals here, hands down. Don't hesitate to go.

We dropped in for dinner and found a real gem. The food was spectacular, well beyond what I expect from a meal in Tuscany. Our host was warm and helpful too, with tips and recommendations for our wine excursions.
