We liked it enough to return this year after staying here last year. The pool looks out over the Grosseto hills, and there are outdoor tables by the farmhouse apartments where you can eat and enjoy the cool evenings. The sea is about a 15-minute drive away, and Grosseto supermarkets are just as close. Dogs are welcome, and we got a perfect welcome.

Gianluca is always available to help, without ever getting in the way, and the oil they make here is excellent. It’s right in the Maremma countryside, a good fit for anyone who wants peace and quiet. The apartments are spacious enough for six, comfortably furnished, and have everything you need. Nothing fancy, but very comfortable. The pool and the fireplace for grilling are nice extras, and there’s also a pizza oven. One small suggestion: darker curtains would help keep the morning light out.

The hosts were so kind and helpful, and we had a wonderful stay in this Tuscan countryside farmhouse. Our apartment was spotless and had everything we needed, and there’s a grill by the pool. There’s no air conditioning, but even through the recent intense heat we didn’t miss it: a nice breeze came through during the day, and evenings were cool enough for a sweatshirt. We’d come back.

After a swim, you can fire up one of the barbecues. Terme di Saturnia is about 50 minutes away, while several beaches, including Castiglione Parco di Alberese, are around 30 minutes away. It’s peaceful, with hill views, but still just a few minutes from central Grosseto. The accommodation is roomy and comfortable, well equipped, and stays cool even on hot Maremma days. The owners are extremely kind and helpful.
