The pool was green with algae and smelled bad when we arrived, and it stayed that way for eight full days. It was only shut and cleaned on the ninth day, when our holiday was nearly over. The owner said there was nothing he could do because it had rained. Rain may affect a pool, but there are known ways to prevent this, and they clearly weren't used here. It fit the impression of a place where little is invested while rental prices are high, as if profit matters most. The accommodation was in a neglected, run-down state, dirty, old, and badly maintained. The rotten terrace was especially alarming, with screws sticking out several centimeters (see photos), making it plainly unsafe for children. I later heard other guests had also complained about the veranda. Someone made a half-hearted effort to replace the boards, or rather just one board, but it still looked like the photos when we left. There were structural problems throughout: doors scraped the floor and could only partly open (see photos). The walls were so thin I heard my neighbor snoring every night, making decent sleep almost impossible. The place had a musty smell, and finding a cockroach in the kitchen one morning was the last straw. We'd expected a simple stay close to nature, not luxury, but at least a basic standard. We initially tried to be understanding since we'd chosen an agriturismo and weren't expecting hotel comforts. But the owner's replies to critical reviews show a pattern: the agriturismo label and low price are repeatedly used to brush aside shortcomings and fair criticism. We know plenty of other agriturismos where rural charm, care for guests, and openness to criticism can coexist. At €200 a night, the condition of the accommodation made the price completely unjustified. The value for money was unacceptable. A small gesture, like a €20 discount equal to the tourist tax, would have shown some customer care. Instead, the owner was rude and dismissive when we asked politely, and even threatened to treat any public criticism as "blackmail." I see it as a way to stop other travelers from making the same mistake. If you like a rustic holiday and have no expectations at all, you may be able to manage here. But for a safe, well-kept place for you and your family, book elsewhere. Update: In his reply, the owner makes it sound as though I didn't want to pay the €20 tourist tax and that this is why I complained. That's ridiculous. In my opinion, his behavior speaks for itself.

The garden was full of trees, aromatic plants, and tasty fruit that Massimo let us pick. We loved the peaceful setting, and the pool was gorgeous. At different times of day we had it all to ourselves, which made for real relaxation. The apartment was just as described and had everything we needed. Outside, there were loungers and a barbecue on the veranda. Simona gave us the apartment near the cow pen after hearing how much my brother loves animals. Whenever we heard them passing, we went out to watch. And there was absolutely no smell. Massimo was kind and helpful throughout. Mosquitoes were the one bit of bad luck, but we'd brought what we needed and could still enjoy being outside. They even let us leave our luggage so we could spend our last day at the beach. The location was great for exploring the local beaches. The sky was full of stars, just wonderful. We'll definitely come back! And a special mention for Dante, who tried so hard to win over our Bonnie! 😂❤️

Mrs. Simona said she expected a review from me, but I've never spoken with her, and nobody introduced us. I also never complained about children's beds, since we don't have any, so I think she's mistaken about who I am. I wasn't expecting a hotel, just a bit of cleanliness. Please don't judge people you don't know. Thank you. P.S. About the double room mattress, Mr. Massimo told us he'd already had complaints.

The mattress in the main bedroom felt like it could be from the 1970s, lumpy and far from clean or hygienic. I had to get a mat to put on top of it so I could sleep. Outside, the table and chairs under the gazebo were dirty and covered in cobwebs. There was a bottle on the table with dried flowers and rotten water. The pool was the only positive, though getting to it isn't easy for everyone. The apartment itself was very dated, with old furniture, damp, and a strong musty smell. It was quite dirty too, and full of moths and furniture moths. The dishes were greasy and dirty, so I spent the first evening washing them before dinner. There was only a little dish soap, and I went out to buy cleaning supplies the next day. Even reaching the property meant taking an unpaved access road, and everything looked shabby and poorly maintained. Not a great experience at all.

Massimo, the host and farmer, is incredibly friendly, and the place has a lovely, charming feel. It's a working farm with 80 lovely cows and eight well-behaved dogs. The pool is really large, too. The property has several family houses, each with two rooms sleeping two or three people and a shady terrace. Just keep in mind, despite what the title says, this isn't a four-star hotel. Dinner is served in the evenings in summer.
