Even a little rain made our stay at Cieloverde Camping a disaster. Water poured into our tent, everything got soaked, our gear was ruined, and we couldn’t sleep. The grounds seemed to have no drainage or preparation for even mild bad weather. It may look nice in pictures, but if the weather turns, you could regret coming here. This was one of the worst camping experiences we’ve ever had. Avoid it and spend your money somewhere that values its guests.

September was peaceful at this large campsite, with plenty of green space. The blocks may be a bit old, but they were clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Prices at the bars were okay. The mosquitoes, though! :D

The kitchenware was absurdly limited: just two tiny cups for four people. We were also charged tourist tax twice. The first payment apparently disappeared without a trace, and we had to pay it again. It felt completely unacceptable and unclear. Our stay in the so-called Bella Tenda at Camping Cielo Verde was a nightmare. After two days of rain, water came right into the tent, soaking the beds, clothes, and luggage. There was no insulation, like sleeping under a leaking roof. We also had no bed sheets, only a tiny duvet. On both rainy nights we called the Bella Tenda manager several times to ask for sheets or help, but got no real assistance. The only response was, “Tomorrow you leave,” even though we had five paid days left. Every issue was blamed on us because we were a group of young people. Meanwhile, a group of German guests made noise day and night, but the owner apparently had a deal with them, so they were forgiven. The facilities were awful, management disgraceful, and there was no respect or sense of responsibility toward guests. Never again. If you want your holiday ruined, this is the place.

The security was excellent and made us feel safe, but I wouldn’t come back. The campsite is huge, so getting around means biking or walking a lot. The pitches felt random, and you can’t park your car at yours. The pool is relatively small and costs 7 euros per person. Toilets had no paper, showers were very hot, there were bugs everywhere, and the entertainment stayed loud late into the evening. Prices are high. It could work for families with kids who want to stay on site and don’t mind walking 10k steps a day.

This is a huge family camping village, so it won’t suit someone looking for a quiet, adult-friendly hideaway. There’s lots of space, and the pitches are generous. Toilets and showers are plentiful and very clean, with free showers. There’s a great, well-stocked shop, several decent restaurants and bars, and entertainment areas. The pool is very good, with a nice bar, terrace, and grassy spots, though having to pay to use it is a bit irritating. The beach is quite far away, but there’s a free train that runs down there regularly. The office staff were very helpful and spoke good English.
