Be prepared for a long, very loud party. They say it’s quiet after 11 p.m., but there was a really loud party until 1 a.m., with shouting that went on even longer. We’d paid almost 40 euro hoping to get a good night’s sleep, and at 00:30 we politely asked for some quiet. The manager, or whoever spoke to us that night, was very rude. The pitch for a car and tent cost 36, which felt far too expensive, especially with no electricity and no hot showers included. The pitches and bathrooms were pretty standard and not very nice, and the restaurant wasn’t open for us. Overall, 2/10. The woman also told us the party was a one-time thing and they hadn’t known about it. After reading the comments, I don’t believe that was true. Very shameful.

The restaurant had great food and drinks. The campsite is cheaper than some others, but the toilets and bathrooms are at a very low standard, and you pay extra to use them. It was crowded and noisy, with the disco on the stage playing uncomfortably loud music until after midnight.

There was plenty of shade, the site was clean, and we had a great time over the couple of days we stayed. The beach is right next to the campsite, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the sanitary facilities and showers were good, with no coins needed. Our pitch had electricity and was decent, though it was on loose sand. Some pitches are on higher levels, which makes loading and unloading the car awkward. You can’t drive up to your pitch, but there’s safe, private parking across the road. The restaurant’s pizza was the worst ever. It’s a disgrace by Italian standards.

The forest is pretty, but the neighboring campsite’s entertainment is so loud and annoying that sleeping at night is out of the question. The bathrooms are outdated, the Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the staff were unfriendly. It’s overpriced for what you get, with extra charges for the car, electricity, and shower.

Leila at reception was especially helpful with everything, including suggestions for places to visit, and her English was excellent. We hired bicycles for five euros per day, which was excellent value for our day trip to Castiglione della Pescaia. We stayed for seven nights in mid September 2017 with our own tent and an electricity connection. The site is large, but it was incredibly quiet and empty. The toilet blocks were in excellent condition and kept very clean, and the showers were always hot and included in the pitch price. Wi-Fi was only available around reception and was generally weak. It was incredibly good value at just over 11 euros per night. Susan and Bill Dawson, Lancashire, England
