Casa Mari

The owners are lovely, interesting people to chat with. The beach is very close, though you'll need a car to get there. There may be buses, but we didn't ask. The place is quiet, clean, carefully looked after, and surrounded by greenery. The rooms are spacious, and there's a nice shared room with a kitchen.

The location worked really well for visiting nearby places like Grosseto, Principina Mare, and Castiglione della Pescaia. Check-in and check-out were easy, and Mary was very kind. Recommended stay. We enjoyed sitting on the pretty patio in the evening cool or having breakfast there in the morning. The room is inside a villa with a garden and indoor parking, and has its own entrance from the garden. It was spacious, with a TV, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. The large bathroom has a window, a bathtub, and a curtain for showering. There's a shared kitchen behind a lovely living room. The only little downside was that breakfast didn't have much variety. It could be better with savory choices, fresh croissants, fruit, and yogurt. Maybe guests could say the night before what they'd like, so only the requested food is brought out and nothing gets wasted.

It was a really pleasant stay. The B&B is clean, well cared for, and furnished with taste. There are two bedrooms, one for two people and one for three, and each has its own bathroom and entrance. Our two-person room was comfortable, with a good bed and decent soundproofing. The bathroom was nice and practical, though a shelf for a toiletry bag would have helped. Guests can use a large shared living room with a table and two comfortable sofas, plus a fully equipped kitchen. It has a washing machine, stove, microwave, fridge, and all the usual cookware, dishes, glasses, cutlery, and table linens. Breakfast items were there too, including juice, biscuits, croissants, jams, and coffee capsules.

Such a beautiful house, and the owners are so kind and always available. I'd give it a 10.
