We had a family room that worked really well: our children loved having their own little bunk-bed room attached to the main bedroom. The bathroom was spotless and had lots of towels, and both the air conditioning and WiFi were great. Breakfast was continental, with a decent choice. The hotel was exceptionally clean when we arrived, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. I don't understand some of the negative comments, as we had a good stay. It's perfectly fine for a night or two, a bit like a Travelodge or Premier Inn in the UK. The location is convenient too, about a six-minute drive into Grosseto and close to the main roads.

We stayed here in our truck for a weekend break, and there was plenty of parking. The showers and other facilities were great, the restaurant was wonderful, and the staff were pleasant. The town is only a 15-minute walk through the back gate. The one letdown was that the outdoor water tap by the garage was switched off. Also, the hotel doors are locked from 11 a.m. on Sundays, so there aren't any facilities available after that.

The restaurant, pizzeria and breakfast were good, but the hotel feels old and dated. My bed was uncomfortable, both the mattress and frame. There’s no lift, so I had to carry my luggage to the top floor. The single-glazed windows and doors let in a lot of noise from outside.

The hotel needs renovation. Room 217 was dirty and old, with broken furniture, a bad bed, and hair in the toilet. The window wouldn't close and the curtains had fallen off. At dinner there was only an Italian menu, a few pasta dishes, two meat dishes, and no juice. Breakfast was poor too, just toast, no other bread, one kind of salami and cheese. I asked for an espresso from the hotel bar and was offered a coffee machine. I paid cash but wasn't given an invoice. The English was poor. A disaster.
