We were two people and the smaller blue room worked perfectly. It was clean and cozy, with everything we needed and two windows. The balcony, fridge, and microwave were right outside, which was handy, and breakfast came with a croissant and cappuccino from the nearby café. This was my second last-minute booking here for a family emergency, and the staff were kind, patient, and helpful again. The other room I'd had was purple and had a terrace.

The room I got wasn't the one agreed on, and nobody warned me beforehand. It was only minimally clean, and both the room and bathroom smelled musty. They asked for the money right away, though. During my six-day stay, which wasn't for a holiday, even basic requests were turned down. I couldn't get a low pillow because they said that was all they had. They also wouldn't provide a German socket in the bathroom, saying it was fine once they established I could use a hairdryer in the room. There was no room cleaning or towel change during the stay. When I finally asked out of desperation, they said it would be done, but nobody came or let me know. The explanation was, “She's leaving tomorrow, I'll do the cleaning for the new arrival!” The owner was unhelpful, arrogant, and rude. The person who booked the room for me had tried to make sure I felt comfortable, but this turned into my worst interpersonal experience. It would have taken very little to make the service acceptable. And when I complained about all this, the owner, who had called himself “a decent person,” hung up on me. Hurray!

As the song says, more could be done. Some rooms had mold and shouldn't have been rented, and the owner came across as unprofessional. Trying to take everything can mean losing a lot. Keeping a group of 15 people happy ought to be the priority, but that doesn't always seem to happen.

I had a really enjoyable stay. The rooms are very good and right in the city center, and the staff were lovely. I'd recommend it.
