The hosts were warm and helpful, and there was a fun atmosphere without disturbing anyone looking for some quiet on the hill. The views are glorious, and the pool is lovely. It really is a castle. I’ll definitely come back.

Everything was perfect for a relaxing break in the greenery, with a real bucolic feel. The pool is beautiful, and the place combines history with good food. It’s also right in the middle of the area, so handy for exploring the Umbrian hills.
The staff were welcoming and courteous, and the cocktails were excellent. History, food and wine all fit naturally into the rural surroundings, with that distinctive Umbrian atmosphere. There’s a panoramic terrace with a pool that seems to hang over the view. A lovely choice if you want to unwind away from the daily rush.
The pool costs 10 euros for 3 hours. I wouldn’t have minded paying that if the place had been worth it, but the umbrella was barely there and the grass around the pool was tall and full of ants. The sunbeds and deckchairs were so uncomfortable that I’d have been better off lying on the ground. I’d give it 0 stars if I could.
