A nice spot.

The food was the biggest letdown when I went with friends last Saturday, and I didn’t care for the place itself either. It had an old, musty smell. The managers didn’t seem capable of running it and should retire. Never again. Croce

The woman was kind, but she’d been left to manage us and two ringing phones on her own, which didn’t seem right. We went in person yesterday to book after deciding not to rely on websites following several experiences in the south. Phone calls can be hard to understand too. The place smelled old as soon as we entered, and although the room we’d seen online was available, the price she offered was €80 for one night in a double room. The website listed €61 plus €2 tax, so we didn’t take it. For that amount, we were a little closer to the B&Bs near Masua. It’s a shame because the place has a lot going for it, but it feels neglected. The interior is very dark and could be brightened up, and the website photos are several years old and misleading. I felt sorry for the woman. Maybe bring in younger, more energetic staff. I hope this can lead to a constructive conversation without offending anyone.

The food is good and the service excellent, and the place makes you feel like part of the family. It’s a very good hotel and restaurant, though it’s practically in the middle of nowhere.
