We were sorry to leave after five wonderful days, and would happily recommend staying here. The hosts were kind and very accommodating, and everything was clean. Breakfast was a real highlight, with homemade cakes and lots of local produce or ingredients from the property, served in line with the COVID guidelines. The setting was just right too, close enough to Florence but far enough out to enjoy the countryside and its incredible views.

The views are incredible, with olive trees and vineyards all around the property. Everyone was lovely and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. Florence is about a 20-minute drive, which worked well for us with a car. Would definitely come back!

Set among the rolling hills of Chianti, this place felt like a dream. The rooms are spacious and large, the historic building is clean, and the hosts are kind and accommodating. It may have been the best holiday we’ve ever had, and Florence is only 20 minutes away.

Breakfast was a strong point, with fresh fruit, cakes, cherry tomatoes and cheese, and the view from this tucked-away hotel in the Tuscan hills is lovely. I did miss having someone around at the front desk. The owner was only there at check-in and to serve breakfast, so we didn’t get recommendations for places to visit. He could also have been more sociable during breakfast. Still, if you’re after a spot in the Tuscan hills, this is a beautiful setting.

The sunrise over the hills and valley is stunning. This farmhouse works well for a big group, with six air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It’s remote from shops and restaurants, though, so you’ll definitely need a car.
