Hotel La Villarosa

La Villarosa has so much old-world charm, with a quirky, beautiful old building and lovely grounds. The thermal pool is beautiful too. My room was very comfortable and clean, though this definitely isn’t the hotel for anyone looking for something modern. It’s in a perfect location, with everything you need or need to get to right outside the front door. Everyone working there was excellent, especially Marina, who was wonderful. The rates are hard to beat for a place with this much character, and the view from the dining room is spectacular. I saw past reviews complain about the Wi-Fi, but to me this is a place to escape for a while. Put your phones down and give yourself and your soul a break.

We only ate at the hotel restaurant once in the evening because we like trying different places, but it was amazing value at €15. The peaceful garden beside the thermal pool was the best part, especially swimming there and having drinks and bar snacks served beautifully. It’s a lovely, quaint hotel, with excellent bar and front desk staff. Marina was particularly helpful and never tired of answering our questions in very good English. The location is great for shops, cafes, restaurants and transport.

All the staff were incredibly lovely, and we had a wonderful vacation. We enjoyed the thermal pool, comfortable rooms and delicious dinners on the roof with a magical view. The Wi-Fi was poor. I’d also like breakfast to have a little more variety, though that’s a wish rather than a complaint. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The garden is stunning, and the thermal pool was refreshing. There’s a bar by the pool, and the barman is an absolute legend, a fascinating and accommodating guy. My room was clean and nice, with a superb view, but the Wi-Fi didn’t work there, so it wasn’t ideal for working. Hopefully they can fix that. I’d definitely stay again and ask for a room nearer the lobby. The staff were helpful and courteous, and they can arrange excursions at very reasonable prices. Take them up on it, since the gardens and thermal pools shouldn’t be missed. Pasqualle, our driver, was a gem too.
