This is my fourth year coming here for a truly relaxing stay, either in spring or early fall. The staff are excellent, friendly and professional, and I especially want to give credit to the spa team and Ms. Tina. The hotel is very clean thanks to the people who look after it, and the linens are changed frequently each day. Reception is always friendly and ready to help with guests’ needs. The dining room team pays attention to what guests need, and the food has improved, though it could still be better. The building itself needs structural work, including the elevator.

The food was the biggest disappointment. I don’t know whether the chef was filling in during my stay, but pasta with canned tuna and grilled turkey breast were unacceptable for a three-star superior hotel. You can solve that by eating out, but the layout is a more serious problem: the building spans several levels and has no elevator, so getting between the rooms, pool, spa and dining room means constantly going up and down stairs. There are no wheelchair-accessible facilities. This place is a monument to architectural barriers, highly unsuitable for older people and impractical for disabled guests. The staff and cleanliness were fine, but I’ll remember the hotel for these shortcomings. I really don’t recommend it.

We came back to Hotel Letizia in April, as we did last year. The facility was excellent, with a pool, sauna and whirlpool, and it was beautiful, clean and well kept. Our room looked out over a lemon garden, which felt like a dream. The hotel is near the center and surrounded by lush parks. All the staff were very helpful, attentive, competent and prompt. Special thanks to Rocco, the very friendly maître d'. We hope to return. LUIGI and ARIELLA.

We went in the second half of June 2017 and got lovely weather, with just-right temperatures. The hotel felt very clean, and our room was bright and roomy, looking out over the lemon grove. The food was simple but pleasantly light, and the waitstaff did far more than the basics to help with requests. Rocco, the maître d', and Salvatore, our waiter, were spectacular. The heated outdoor thermal pool and the indoor sauna, jacuzzi, and emotional shower were a real treat. The downside was the pool guests who were rude and out of control, claiming seats from the morning and only turning up, perhaps, late in the afternoon. It’s about a 10-12 minute walk to both Ischia Ponte and Ischia Porto. If you want a completely relaxing holiday, this feels like your Eden. Luca and Tecla.
