Ischia Blu Resort

We stayed at six hotels during our time in Italy, and this one was easily the best. I’d give it 10/5 if I could, and it’s among the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The apartments were clean, spacious, and perfect. Ours opened straight onto the beach from the balcony, with beautiful calm water that made for the best swimming spot we found on Ischia. The resort’s location was ideal, within walking distance of both the ferry port and the resort and shopping area. The staff were super friendly too. I feel really lucky to have found this place since it wasn’t one of the first suggestions that came up while we were researching. It was a beautiful stay, and I’d love to return.

We found this family-owned boutique hotel at the last minute, and it turned out to be a real gem. The team welcomed us like family and was always available whenever we needed something. Every room has a balcony with breathtaking views we won’t forget. Our room was stylish, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. There’s a rooftop area for sunbathing, a gym, and a well-equipped sea deck with plenty of loungers, umbrellas, towels, and a ladder for getting into the sea. We were also delighted by the heated infinity pool with jets, which was perfect for relaxing. The thoughtful details, service, and atmosphere made our stay unforgettable. A huge thank you to the hardworking team at the Ischia Blu Resort. We highly recommend it for a personalized, luxurious escape.

The suite with a sea view was huge and had everything we could need, whether we were staying a short time or longer. We could step straight into the sea from our door, and the bed and breakfast stay gave us a great start to each day. My wife and I stayed here in August on my first trip to Italy. Getting from the ferry to Ischia Blu Resort took only a few minutes on foot, and the staff were extremely welcoming and informative both at check-in and checkout. Would I come back to Ischia? In a heartbeat. Stay at Ischia Blu Resort again? Most definitely!

The beach description gave us the wrong idea: it was rocky and had litter, and we didn’t see anyone looking after it. Around the property, tiled floors and no outdoor rugs meant water was tracked everywhere, which felt risky with our toddler. At checkout, they tried to charge us €55 for a port transfer, saying they had picked us up. They hadn’t. The staff member initially argued, then made calls to sort it out. We also left without the warm goodbye we’d had at other luxury places in Italy. We were a family of four, arriving tired after a long travel day, and had to wait while staff brought towels to other guests. Towels for the beach, pool, and hot tub were limited to one per person every three days, something we’d never encountered at a place calling itself a “5-star luxury apartment.” I included a photo of the towels. The apartment looked nice at first, but the air conditioning was weak and switched off whenever we left the room, even briefly. We had to turn it back on each time. For a property described as luxury, we also missed basics we’d had elsewhere, like laundry and dishwasher pods, simple seasonings or condiments, slippers, and bathrobes. Housekeeping put our daughter’s clothes in the bidet one day. When I mentioned it, the staff were dismissive and hardly apologetic. Ischia is beautiful, and the property has potential, but our stay was disappointing. What we experienced made me question many of the glowing reviews. Be aware before booking.
