Hotel Vittoria

This was good value for the money, and we had a pleasant stay. The rooms and bathrooms are dated, but that matched what was advertised. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and the family running the hotel were very helpful, especially when calling cabs, talking with the drivers, and translating for us. I’d give the location 4 out of 5. It was a little hard to find when we arrived, though restaurants and shops are a short walk away, and it was very quiet.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The rooms are old and haven’t been updated, and the bathrooms are really unpleasant. We were given a “nice room with a patio,” but there was no privacy. It’s in the middle of the very busy porto area, and the nearby beach is overcrowded. The breakfast is cute, and the daughters in the family who run the place are very nice. That’s about all I liked. There are much nicer places to stay around the island.

The pools and thermal facilities were excellent, and the location is peaceful while still just a few minutes’ walk from Ischia Port, where everything happens at night. The family run staff were polite and lovely. Dario and Piña, the owners, were marvellous. I’d definitely go back.

Unpleasant, and much too expensive for the quality of service. We paid €70/night pp for a triple bedroom, but the stay fell astonishingly below Italian standards and didn’t meet what I’d expect of a 3-star hotel. It definitely needs refurbishment, especially the loo.
