B B La Veranda Iseo

The rooms have loads of character and the location is fantastic. Flaminio, our host, greeted us with a glass of wine and took us to see some lovely local sights. His warmth and hospitality were second to none, he couldn't do enough for us. What a wonderful little place.

We were driven to and from the train station, given a map and local tips, and even taken to a local winery for a private tour. Flaminio also cooked breakfast. He's the friendliest gentleman in Italy and did everything he could to make us comfortable. A warm and welcoming B&B. I'll definitely return, and recommend it to anyone who enjoys old-school hospitality.

The veranda was a lovely spot for eating, relaxing, and watching Iseo. The B&B has just two clean, spacious rooms, and the location is handy, one short block from the lake, 300 meters from the shuttle boat dock, and a five-minute walk to the train station. Flaminio Pezzotti was incredible. He welcomed us with lunch and wine, then took us to a friend's winery for a private tour. He also recommended a wonderful osteria and turned up there with fresh figs for us to have with our prosciuotto. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful. After our visit to the sanctuary, he made us tea, and when I needed help finding a taxi for a morning meeting in Adro, he offered to drive me himself. He showed us a puppet of himself used in local comedy sketches performed in dialect during the winter, when tourists are gone. La Veranda was easily the best B&B experience we've had. We'll be back this winter.

A nice place to stay in Iseo. The owner makes the difference, taking you along to the wine house and explaining the local culture.
