We only meant to camp for the weekend, but kept extending because the owner and staff were so nice. It was our first longer camping trip, and even when we got things wrong, everyone helped us out without making a fuss. The site is great, and the local train makes it easy to get to Iseo, Brescia, Bergamo, and other cities. Big thanks to Mario and the rest of the staff.

We planned on two nights and ended up staying three. The lakeside grass was lovely to sit on, and the view across the water was beautiful. We swam there too, and our dog loved it. The site is simple but well looked after, quiet and relaxed, with friendly staff and spotless toilets and showers. Our 6.3m camper van had a lovely big pitch, shaded by all the trees. Bikes are free to borrow at reception, and Iseo is an easy ride of just under 4km, mostly on cycle paths. There’s also a washing machine and tumble dryer. I’d definitely recommend it. Grazie mille.

My friend and I stayed three nights while interrailing, and it was really quiet. The campsite is right on the banks of Lake Iseo, with a relaxed family-run feel and very clean showers and toilets. From our pitch it was only about 20 seconds to the riverbank, where you can jump into the water from a low wall for extra fun. Bikes are free to borrow, which made grocery trips easy. Well worth the roughly €25 a night.

The lake and setting are beautiful, and the pitches are bigger than many around the lake, though smaller than those we've seen in plenty of other countries. Our arrival started well: the owner was kind and gave us two neighboring spots for the price of one. After that, though, things went downhill, and our stay ended with him telling us to leave without a real discussion. I don't usually post negative reviews, but I think people should know what happened. Our neighbors were friendly, but their TV was loud in the mornings and evenings. We politely asked if we could move a little farther away because we'd rather hear birds. The owner seemed upset, and his friendly manner disappeared. I later apologized just to avoid more stress. The next day he offered to move us about five meters, which wouldn't have changed much, so we declined. I also asked if my nephew and his family could visit for a few hours on Sunday. The owner refused in an unfriendly way, even when I offered to pay for a pitch. He said visitors weren't allowed during high season because the beach might get crowded, although high season ended that day. When I asked where we could meet them, he sharply suggested the bar, then the small public beach nearby. We followed that suggestion. Our guests later used our paddle boards on the lake and brought them back to our pitch, where they stayed for barely two minutes to drop them off before we all went to dinner. The owner then appeared, angry, saying he hadn't seen them come in. My husband tried to explain, but he wouldn't listen and told us to leave the next morning. It was upsetting, and our guests felt guilty even though they hadn't done anything wrong. He seems quick to assume the worst. Even a small request, like asking to change pitches, might be enough for your stay to suddenly end, as if you're on his “red list.” If you manage not to upset him, you may have a good stay. I hope the manager becomes more open to discussion and less quick to judge, and that this account helps someone else avoid the stress we had.

Pilzone was a lovely place to stay, with a simple campsite, clean facilities, free bikes, and good espresso. We especially enjoyed the private beach and its views of the lake and nearby mountains. The owner was friendly the whole time.
