I due Roccoli

We travelled from the UK in July 2025, and the views over Lake Iseo and the surrounding landscape were incredible, among the best you’ll probably find in Italy. Our room faced the hotel’s front gardens and had a private balcony. Inside, it had Italian paintings, a marble bathroom, a huge bed, and a huge TV. Really comfortable and well equipped, though there was no safe. The staff were superb and very welcoming. We were greeted with prosecco on the terrace overlooking the lake. We ate in the restaurant one evening. It was on the expensive side, about 20 euros per dish, with a fine dining feel and locally sourced food. The steak was good, but not amazing or the best I’ve had, and nobody asked how I wanted it cooked. We also had sandwiches by the pool in the afternoon. They were fine. One basic ham and cheese sandwich cost 18 euros and came without sides like crisps or salad. I’d recommend the hotel. For a five-star rating, I think it needs a fitness facility, a few more amenities, and a better poolside food selection, as you find at most high-end four- and five-star hotels.

The rooms were comfortable and super clean, and the food was excellent, with surprisingly generous portions. It wasn’t overly expensive either. The staff went above and beyond to help. Amazing place, stunning views and facilities. I’d highly recommend it and will definitely come back.

The only bad thing about my visit to I Due Roccoli was having just one night there. The hotel was stunning, with a beautiful room overlooking the lake. The staff managed to be both professional and personal, and dinner at the restaurant was delicious. I can’t wait to return for a longer stay!

It’s especially nice to eat outside this time of year, when you can enjoy the fresh air without melting in the heat. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant, with lots of greenery, and everyone there seemed relaxed. Staff were very capable, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which I appreciated. The food was really good: fried vegetables to start, tartare for the main, and the pork was WOW. There’s a big wine selection, and it’s pet friendly. Highly recommended.
